Strategic Objectives Attained Through the Use of Web-Based Political Forums

The people who set up web-based political forums do so to, among other things, attain certain strategic objectives. We will now proceed to look at some of the strategic objectives that can be attained through the use of web-based political forums.

The first strategic objective that can be attained through the use of web-based political forums is that of recruiting people for certain political causes. A political party can, for instance, have people post threads that portray it and its policies in good light, hence attracting people to become members in it.

The second strategic objective that can be attained through the use of web-based political forums is that of disseminating propaganda. This can be done through threads (and the replies made to already existing threads). You come to learn that political parties and individual politicians thrive on the dissemination of propaganda.

The third strategic objective that can be attained through the use of web-based political forums is that of collecting political intelligence. This happens thanks to the fact that, through the use of the political forums, political operatives can gauge the feelings of their targeted constituents. This is therefore one of the sources of the so-called open source intelligence, which often turns out to be very useful intelligence (especially for political party operations).
